Save $$ for recovering my harddrive

Last night inquiring several companies (Top 10 Hard Drive Recovery Services) about rate for recovering data from my DEAD harddrive, and most of the rates are un-offerable for me.. (>US$500); however, one of the companies, Gillware, has relatively low rate, $378.. I think I might go for it..

tried Chi's harddrive on my laptop.. it showed no problem.. but my harddrive is still dead on her machine.. that's really too too too bad..

Parts of data/doc/pic were gone!

damn it.. it's dead again!

As my harddisk came alive few days ago, I have happy life again!
Actually the harddisk works quite well when connecting to my desktop machine via a SATA to USB cable, and that made me doubt that the problem came from the motherboard instead of the harddisk itself.

This afternoon the disaster re-occurred.. Orz, I knew it will come again, but didn't expect it comes so soon...

Going through some forums and read some articles, most of them described similar situation: no-bootable device detected.. DST test fail; but harddrive is good when connecting to other machine. So I might decide to give up my Dell Inspiron 6400.. Damn it.. It just got one years-old.. (since 2008-05-2x)...

The End of the Endless Torture

Since 2005 Fall I had 10 times of torture of ALL-SPEAK-associated test which includes SPEAK, Appeal of SPEAK and IELTS. It's a time, money, energy, spirit and confidence-consuming process. Finally and fortunately I put an end on it. During this very difficult period, I appreciate all of the people who have ever helped me through it, specially my tudor Amanda, conversation groups hosted by Global Partner, David and IHC, my adviosr Craig, and my life-long partner Chi.

The consequence for staying up a night is dizzy on the next ALL day, and then going to bed early, which makes me get up so so so early this morning (4 am)

Poor me.. I had a bad day or bad days?
The account got overdraft, and needed to pay extra fees. In addition, the car got towed and took me $80 to get it back.
Right now I'm still reading papers and writing the proposal for the upcoming qualifying-exam! I have drunk 100L of coffee and tea. can't go for the sweet dream!
wondering what kind of project I'm doing now?
Where is the out-reach for it?

The reason I switch to blogspot..

Well, seemly I prefer the Google system since the WRETCH has been bought by YAHOO!..
In my opinion, the Google system has better integration, and I'm going to show some trips and geotagged pictures via Google Map in the blog. Eventually, I may transfer all the stuff from the WRETCH to here.
